Jordyn Jessica Yarker is an Australian Singer/Songwriter, Entertainer and Actor born in Cairns, Queensland, Australia on 4th February 2001 to Cameron and Teresa (Lisa) Yarker who own their own Architectural Design Firm. She has one older sister Erinn. Jordyn has Australian, Thai and Chinese Ancestry. During her childhood she lived in Queensland Australia, living in cities such as Cairns, Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast. The family moved from the Gold Coast, Australia in February 2013 to Los Angeles, California, USA.Early in life Jordyn was captivated by the abilities of modern-day artists such as Katy Perry and Taylor Swift, admiring how they were able to affect audiences worldwide through song. The family embarked on a trip to Thailand and Cambodia to experience and assist with New Hope Cambodia in 2011. This inspired Jordyn to write her own material and melodies. In it, she put to lyrics to the emotional images she encountered with themes of love, loss, and hope, in the powerful, "I'll Never Walk Away." She then opened up the American songbook and culled new tunes from massive songwriters like Makeba Riddick (Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez, Beyonce) and Chris DeStefano (Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood).Jordyn's young anthems paint a wide swath across the musical spectrum, the motion of the title track and the wide-open country of "Holiday", the lightness of "Lightning Bugs" are all held together by the voice of a girl who believes in the timelessness of a song; and that singing can change the world. Additionally, Jordyn has performed at Australia Day - the biggest annual civic event in Australia and has opened for 3-Time ACM Award winning country group The Lost Trailers. Jordyn has also headlined her own US National Tour performing before thousands of people at large venues and events, from NASCAR Iowa Speedway, FALLFEST to the John Michael Montgomery Country Festival. Jordyn was awarded the key to the city by Mayor John Ed Underwood in Fayetteville, Tennessee.Combining her incredible singing talent and her unparalleled gift for acting, Jordyn starred in the leading role of Jordyn Jones in the spectacular children's show, Accord'n to Jordyn. This television production tells the magical story of Jordyn Jones, a fun loving, adventurous school girl who transforms into Vivid, a mystical flying creature who is half girl, half fairy. On her journey, Jordyn Jones encounters a playful cast of animated friends and puppets, including Scratch the faithful dog, and overcomes obstacles through the power of song and dance.Based on her charismatic on screen presence and the extraordinary talent as an actress, Jordyn also starred in Are We There Yet?, an exciting television show for both parents and children, told through the eyes of kids. On the show, Jordyn embarks on fun filled travels to the hottest tourist attractions around Australia and Asia with co-star Lauren Brant (who stars in the Logie and ARIA award-winning children's musical group Hi-5).Her latest role is on Nickelodeon's 'Bella & the Bulldogs' where she plays 'Asha', a smart, vibrant country club girl from Australia as Newt's (played by Buddy Handleson) love interest.
