Masuka is the head forensics specialist for Miami Metro PD, essentially Dexter Morgans partner in that department. Masuka is good at his job and takes his role in criminal investigations very seriously. He does not, however, seems as natural a forensics expert as Dexter. Masuka will become offended if his work is marginalized by his co-workers. Masuka is Miami Metro homicide's primary jokester, always looking to make light of a situation. He also has a somewhat immature sense of humor and seems to continually look for the sexual innuendo in every situation. He is constantly making sexual advances towards Debra, but they are usually of the silly/harmless variety. Not much is known of Masukas background. He is his 30s and is of Asian decent.
