Tucker is Gary's smart but mischievous younger brother he is forced by his parents to let try out for an initiation at the Midnight Society as an alternative for having to quit after Kristen and David leave. After telling The Tale of the Midnight Ride , he is accepted with different levels of reluctance by the others. He loves to play pranks and tease the older members, particularly Gary and Frank, sometimes on their known feelings for Sam since she rejects Frank and seems unaware of Gary. Gary describes his stories as being about adventure. Also, they usually show characters' poor choices ending up unleashing, provoking, or fueling an evil, or siblings or cousins learning to get along through their trial, just as he and Gary sometimes overcome their differences. He brings things to connect with the story and/or scare the others, especially from his dad's magic shop which inspires Gary too. He introduces Stig to the Midnight Society after Frank leaves, though is the only one who enjoys him.A few years after Gary's Midnight Society stops meeting, Tucker starts his own with four friends, Vange, Andy, Megan, and Quinn (Stig has presumably since moved). He keeps most of the themes from his old stories and begins to tell more about magic as Gary used to. He even gives Gary's famous character Sardo two new stories. In The Tale of the Silver Sight , he and Gary receive a message from his grandma Aggie to take on a task by his grandpa Gene, who has just died. He introduces his Midnight Society to Gary, who tells The Tale of the Silver Sight before they reveal it's true, and asks them to help find and destroy the Silver Sight charm. He collects a piece of record which is the puzzle from General Liang Candle, then is attacked by suits of armor coming to life. With the others, he finds the Silver Sight hidden in a carousel horse then is approached by the mysterious waif kid claiming its power can be used against those who oppose them, and the antiheroic General Liang Candle who claims the kid is a demon and the Silver Sight ultimately leads to the user's destruction. He is reluctant to believe Candle's story that Gene was among the other original Midnight Society members who used and died from the Silver Sight, but he, Gary, and his Midnight Society end up destroying by turning it on the real enemy, the kid who is really a demon promoting it to destroy them.
