Patrick grew up in Tucson, Arizona. He got bitten by the acting bug in 4th grade. He had several roles with Arizona Civic Theater in his early teens. His favorite role at ACT was playing the Player Queen in Hamlet. He was raised by his divorced mother Patricia.His first break was a Honda motorcycle commercial at the age of 12. The small part paid him residuals for years.He attended California Institue of the Arts. His roommate was Don Cheadle. He graduated in 1985. He stayed in LA to pursue a career in acting. He was quite surprised when his first film "Buckeye and Blue" was to be shot in his hometown of Tucson.When not acting he held a variety of jobs. In 1984 he drove a van and was a dispatcher for the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, CA. He also was an Emergency Medical Technician at Magic Mountain as well as for ambulance companies. His favorite trick was to pretend he could recognize the fire engine by the sound of its siren.He also did live theater. He acted in "Bent" and in "Playboy of the Western World."One of the most surreal experience he ever had was during the filming of "Son of the Morning Star." They were shooting on location in Montana in 1870 costumes and eating fresh shrimp on the plains.He died of leukemia at the age of 30 on September 15, 1992. He never married and is survived by four brothers, Leland, Jarlath, Fred, George and one sister Johnna. Show less «
