He has an older brother and five younger half-siblings.Nicholas played baseball like most kids but was always the entertainer on the team. At age 10 he discovered being an actor could be a real job after watching the film Rebel Without a Cause (1955) along side his Grandma 'Betty', who just so happened to grow up in the same town of 'James Dean (1)' in Fairmount, IN. She would tell Nicholas stories of watching 'Jimmy' act in plays and riding his Indian motorcycle through town.
