A New York City native, Maryam cut her teeth in the business by studying with some of the greats in acting, the late Israel Hicks, Susan Batson, and master teacher, Ivana Chubbuck. She holds a BFA from Temple University and her first role out of college was the role of the Buxom Chorine the 2001 Tony Award Winning Broadway Revival of "42nd Street".Appearing on television and film her notable on camera credits include: NBC's "Law & Order", FX's "Rescue Me", Sony Pictures' pilot "Fort Pit". Feature films, "Noise" starring Tim Robbins and William Hurt. "Indelible" starring Tristan Wilds, with also voicing radio spots for McDonald's and Honda.Her most recent endeavor has been leading the helm of the new independent short film "Waiting for SuperMEN?!" along side James Kyson.On the New York stage, Maryam has performed with the Negro Ensemble's in their World Premiere of "Offspring" and the New York premiere of "Satchel" for the New Federal Theatre both receiving ADELCO Award nominations.
