Born and raised in Culver City, California, a Los Angeles native. The half Costa Rican and half Okinawan Kimiko Yení Rojas grew up dancing hula with Halau Keali'i O Nalani which in turn was the first step into her life as an actor. From living in MGM's old back lot, to being a Dancing Angel in her pre-school's Christmas Show, to playing a Co-Star role "Barbie" on Hannah Montana, as her parents would say "She was born to be on stage." Kimiko started her career dancing Hawaiian Polynesian Hula at age 9 and loved the feeling of the lights, the stage, and the feeling deep in her heart. A classmate suggested trying out for the school play and a chance to make new friends. At the audition, it was Kimiko's first time on a stage speaking (a monologue); it was love at first sight. Nothing could stop her from then on. She went from plays, to musicals, to Co-President of the Drama Club, to her first movie at 16 playing 'Dani' in "Kamea" (a USC student film.) Loving the different beast of acting in front of a camera, she has never looked back. Presently she is hitting Hollywood with full force. She has not forgotten how she got there with family and her Hawaiian Hula career with her Kumu Hula Keali'i Ceballos and Halau Keali'i O Nalani. She is still doing what she loves, acting. Show less «
