Helen Kim was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA, and started acting in high school when she was 14. She went on to study Theatre and Art History in college, and received her MFA in Acting at the University of Iowa. Following grad school, she pursued her childhood dream by moving to New York City, where she performed in Off-Off Broadway plays and long-form improv with the indie improv team Mass Hysteria!. In NYC, she signed with her first manager and opportunities for film & TV work started to outweigh theatre work. The shift from stage to screen projects prompted her to move to Los Angeles, where she now resides.
