Christina Maria Romero spent her formative years in the small town of Denison, Texas, while still enjoying her Puerto Rican heritage through vacations to see family in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Christina was first introduced to television studio work, enjoying time on set as a child, observing her family working daily on the Puerto Rican television series, "Maripili." In the ninth grade, Christina started acting in school plays, and she began training at Kim Dawson Studios in Dallas. She received scholarship to complete her high school education at St. Stephen's Episcopal School in Austin. There, she won acting awards for her work in plays and musicals. Christina Romero also directed "The 15 Minute Hamlet," and assistant directed Lend Me A Tenor. Her senior year at St. Stephen's, Christina Maria was awarded the Anne Dewey Guerin Memorial Drama Award. She was also awarded a full scholarship to Cornell University's Summer College, where she studied Comic Theatre and Acting. Christina graduated from Sarah Lawrence College with a Bachelor in the Arts. She received scholarship awards to attend Sarah Lawrence College, including the Gaylord Donnelley Family Scholarship for academic excellence and social responsibility. Christina had leading roles in plays at Sarah Lawrence College, and performed in several plays a year. She completed a year abroad at the British American Drama Academy in London, where she studied all aspects of acting, and performed. Christina also worked as a theatre and short film producer for the Sarah Lawrence College Downstage Theater her senior year. She participated in Theatre Outreach all 4 years of college, which included bringing theatre classes to schools that did not have funding for arts programming. She interned at the 52nd Street Project in New York City. Her short play, La Ronda Troupe, was produced at Sarah Lawrence College. Christina Romero worked off Broadway, and off-off Broadway as a co-producer, stage manager, actress, and ensemble writer her first year out of college. She had a lead role in a short film, Give Me the Rose and the Glove, that won an Honorary Prize in the Drama International Short Film Festival in Greece. Christina's acting work and training have continued with many great organizations and individuals across the country. Christina loves to work on film, television, commercial, and voice over roles. Christina produced Timeca Seretti's "The Closet" short film with Dames in Film. The Closet won Best Short Film at The 2016 Capital City Black Film Festival, and at The 2016 Gary International Black Film Festival, and the Alamo City Film Festival.
