Brian Swinehart is an American actor, writer, stand-up comedian, and award winning producer. He was born and raised in a small country town in Ohio. Brian was raised by his parents Howard and Susan Swinehart. In 1999 his father Howard died. In 2000 with the blessing of his mother Brian left Ohio to go to California to pursue a career in acting. Brian had studied acting with Patricia Spielman at Edison College. Brian moved to Pasadena where he lived in the attic of the house of legendary wardrobe lady Bernadette O'Brien. Bernadette showed Brian the ropes of the entertainment industry. The rent for the attic was $300 a month and August for free because it got so hot. After living in California for 3 days Brian got his first job as an extra on the TV show Freaks And Geeks produced by Judd Apatow. He also received his first SAG voucher that day and took that as a sign he had made the right decision by moving to California. In 2002 Brian went to watch a stand-up comedy show at the Pasadena Ice House. After the show Brian talked to a comedy booker and signed up to perform at an amateur night. From the time he hit the stage on that first night Brian was hooked and determined to not only make a name for himself as an actor but as a stand-up comic as well. Brian worked on his acting and writing during the day and at night he would do an early comedy open mic and then work the graveyard shift at Bob's Big Boy in Burbank. Although it was a struggle Brian never quit on his goals and dreams. Swinehart's hardworking Midwest background help him to overcome hard financial times. Brian began to get stand-up comedy bookings all over the United States. He even got booked to go overseas to perform for the military. At the same time Brian was also booking parts in independent movies and building a strong acting resume. Brian had studied with some of the best acting teachers and acting schools in Hollywood. In 2009 his training was about to get even deeper when he got a job as the stand-in for Matthew Mcconaughey in the movie Lincoln Lawyer. On the set of Lincoln Lawyer Brian watched Matthew closely, read lines with him and threw a football with him at lunch. Brian worked on a Mccongnahey impression which many people consider to be the best Mcconaughey impression out there today. In 2012 Brian was in the movie about last night where he got to work with Steve Pink a director Brian greatly admires Swinehart was in several scenes playing Kevin Hart's co-worker. In 2013 Brian booked a role in the TV Pilot Broken Dreams where he acted with academy award nominee Danny Aielo. Danny saw Brian at the audition and said "Who is that kid we need him on the project I want to work with him."In 2014 after the passing of Paul Walker Brian was hired to be a stand-in and hand double for Paul's character. Whose character name was coincidentally Brian. In 2015 Brian stood in for Josh Holloway on the TV show Colony and was in two national commercials one of which played during the Super Bowl. In 2016 Brian is scheduled to headline a national comedy tour and has a script called Rehabbers he co-wrote with Alex Nahon in production. Show less «
