Alexandra Nell is a South African born, Australian based Actor. Graduating from the National Institute of Dramatic Art in 2015, Alexandra was recognised as the first person in history to take out three prestigious awards, including; Hazel Treweek Excellence in Shakespeare Award, Keith Bain Excellence in Movement Award, and the Leslie Walford Scholarship for Creative achievement.Post graduating, Alexandra starred in the the short film We Were Here directed by David Vincent Smith, winning the Jaguar Award for 'Best Performance by an Actress' at the 28th annual Western Australian Screen Awards in 2016.Alexandra stars in the upcoming Australian feature film Koko: A Red Dog Story alongside Toby Truslove and Felix Williamson, co-produced by Nelson Woss (Red Dog, Ned Kelly) and Lauren Brunswick (Top Knot Detective), and in the Matchbox Pictures / ABC co-production of the Television drama series The Heights alongside Roz Hammond and Marcus Graham.Alexandra has a valid US 01 working Visa, and recently attended the Cannes Film Festival in May 2018 to present We Were Here as part of Festival Antipodes, and to represent Women In Film and TV (WIFT) Australia.
